Friday Wine-Down

Happy Friday!!!! It's been a busy week and I'm ready for the weekend! 

I'm hoping to hit the gym, do some studying, and get my Christmas shopping started (oh yeah, that's happening). 

But before I can do any of that, it's time to wind down this week with the Wine Down!!!

Happy Birthday Grandpa!

It was my Grandfather's 84th birthday this week, so the family gathered at my parent's house (epicenter of events) to celebrate! 

My Grandfather loves his birthday (more than I love mine which is saying something), it's always carefully marked on my calendar because he will be devastated if we don't celebrate with him in some way.

Not that I mind of course, he's one of the best people on the planet. He recently started taking Ukulele lessons, at 84. See? Best, and also adorable.

How could I not want to celebrate an awesome and handsome guy like this? Love you Grandpa!

Cayo Largo, Montego, Baby Why Don't we go...

After much deliberation, Kris and I have decided that taking a 10 day road trip from Toronto to New Orleans and back is probably more expensive and time consuming than we can afford right now.

I was upset about this at first, but Kris knows how badly I want to get away and take a trip so he had two alternative suggestions ready: Long weekend trip somewhere fun (Chicago, New York) OR an All Inclusive so we could just book it and then relax.

So we're going to Cayo Coco, Cuba the week before my birthday!!!! 

November is shaping up to be a great month, and I have six weeks to prepare for this trip, which means...

Bikini Body Blowout!

So much for settling into my "I don't care what I eat, my sweater will hide my winter fat" body. I need to ramp back up to Bikini Body by mid November!

Luckily, coming off of summer, It's not as much of an uphill climb as this can be in February.

I'll be hitting the morning smoothies over the next few weeks, as well as getting to the gym whenever possible. If you have any great suggestions or links for me please include them in the comments below, I'm building a workout plan!

What I'm Drinking

Lately I've been indulging in an Ontario beer called Beau's "Lug-Tread" (isn't that just a fabulous name?)

A light ale, this beer is perfect to pair with my Friday night Fish and Chips! Beau's is easily found at most bars in the GTA these days, as well as at the LCBO, but I don't know how easy it is to get it internationally.

If you get the chance though, it's delightful, the perfect way to relax after a long week!
