Yesterday was my Birthday!
I took the day off work and was completely spoiled by my family all day long. What more could I ask for!
The day started off with a trip to South Shore Spa in Bronte Harbour with my mom for a mani-pedi. Karolina and Lynn were absolutely wonderful and kind, and their spa is GORGEOUS. It was a girlie bit of paradise for two wonderful hours. It's right on the lake so the view is spectacular and the sun just shines in all day.
After our nails were looking all pretty, it was off to lunch at Plank down the street for some fabulous pizza. Plank has been in Bronte Harbour for a little over a year now, it's small plate style dining (other than the massive pizzas) and has a cool atmosphere with wood interior and a rustic feel; and much like the Spa, it's got a great view of Lake Ontario.
Mom and I both opted for pizza. She went for the sausage and pepper pizza, I went for mushrooms, cheese and truffle oil (so so so good)!
Our dinner reservations were for 8, so my parents had put together a Tuscan Table: olives, brushetta, a baked brie with fig jam wrapped in phyllo, and of course a cocktail bar!
The family gathered for a fabulous time. We snacked to our hearts content, and took a few funny photos before heading off to the restaurant!
My Birthday Dress (You May Remember) is from Anthropologie! Bought last week at my Anthropologie Birthday Event
We chose Pasquales, which is just west of the bridge in downtown Oakville on the south side of Lakeshore. This fabulous Italian restaurant is small and quaint, but the atmosphere is big family! The owner is always at the door to greet you and take your coat, the lights are nicely dimmed, there's only a handful of tables, and the food is fantastic. It's been open for years and you still can't just walk in and get a seat! Make your reservation at LEAST 3 days in advance, it's well worth it!
Thanks to my wonderful family and Kris, who just spoiled me all day long. It was a fabulous birthday and the perfect way to kick off 26!
