Another week gone! Well another two weeks since I last posted a Wine Down.
What a busy few weeks it has been. Long weekends, car crashes, TWO Game of Thrones episodes and some wonderful times spent with family and friends.
I'm staying close to home this weekend to get some personal projects done (hopefully) so I'll be glued to my computer until Monday... Not the best way to spend a weekend but it needs to be done.
So lets Wine Down this week and talk about happier times!
Accidental Blogging Break
I took a bit of a break from blogging this week. I was intending on writing a bunch of posts last weekend, but ended up busier than anticipated.
The rest of the week was spent getting my head on straight. I haven't been feeling 100% because...
Fender Bender!
... I got rear ended on Monday!
I promise after this I'll get to the happy stuff.
My car was rear ended on my way home from the cottage on Monday. I'm happy to report that both my brother and I, as well as the drivers in the other car, are completely fine. We didn't even pop an airbag.
It was still scary though, I have never had that happen before. My car will be fixed next week and after a few days of headache and mild disorientation I was feeling fine again. It is definitely a culprit in me needing to take it easy this week though.
The rest of my weekend though, was wonderful!
May Long Weekend!
The May "2-4" long weekend has come and gone. The unofficial kick off to Cottage Season, my whole family was up at "Rock, Bought'em" for some delicious food, games of horseshoes and the annual raising of our Canadian Flag.
We had a really wonderful time. How could we not?
When life hands you lemons... get busy!
Maybe it was because I was feeling a little sulky after my accident, but the idea of life handing me lemons clearly struck home this week.
So I made Lemon Chicken Picatta, and delicious Lemon Cake!
What I'm Drinking
I missed documenting mine and Stephanie's last Wine Club. As you may remember from this post we're back to our weekly (almost) Wine Club. Steph had the genius idea of picking wines alphabetically.
This week was Steph's pick, our "C" wine. "Claro" Magnolio Reserve Malbec 2014.
Just the way I like it.
What are you up to this weekend? Personal projects? Enjoying the heat? Let me know in the comments below!
Cheers!
