Friday Wine-Down

Happy Friday!

The month of June is just flying by! I've already celebrated 4/7 family birthdays, and enjoyed plenty of fun in the sun.

Before I kick off another beautiful weekend up north though, it's time for the Wine Down! Here's what I've been up to this week!

Birthday Fun:

This past week on the 6th was my brother's girlfriend's birthday (and also my cousins Emily and Fletcher)! To celebrate, Dana booked a school bus and took all of her girlfriends (and me) down to Niagara On The Lake for a wine tour! I'll be blogging about this over the next few days, but here's a sneak peek anyway:

Just a few days later on the 9th, it was my Mom's birthday! A nice dinner out at the pub to celebrate the gorgeous woman who is my hero, role model and basically one of the best people I know. I love you Mom!

Tasty Treats

One of the best parts about a day trip to Niagara on the Lake? JAM!

Hitting up old town for fudge, candy apples, and my favourite spreads makes everything worth it. Not only did I get some delicious spreadables for my breakfast, but also a jar of my favourite caremalized onion confit!

This stuff is DELICIOUS! This week I've been eating it on fresh bread with goat cheese, but it also works really well in a brie bake. My parents are off to NOTL in a few weeks and I'm going to have them pick up more... for the engagement party we're throwing... yeah...

Newest Bouquet

I think I have a real winner here! Last week I went with white and pink roses and they died so quickly. These beauties are holding up gorgeously, and making me happy every time I see them on the table.

I'm worried my flower budget is getting out of control...

Watch This Video!

Because seriously it's so cute...

What I'm Drinking

Hopefully you didn't expect me to come back from a wine tour without any recommendations! I give you The Klose Vineyard Resiling by Inniskillin

Inniskillin is more known for their ice wines, but after this weekend, their Reisilings are at the top of my list! This one in particular had hints of apricot and citrus and was just so refreshing. Top marks!

Whats your current favourite snack? Is your flower budget as out of control as mine?

Cheers, have a fabulous weekend!
